So mandatory check-in for merlinreversebb is tomorrow, and we need to have at least 4k of our story written, which I just got to about an hour ago! Victory! Things are going good. The characters balked at cooperating at first, but now that I've gotten into the story, they're helping out a bit more. *dances*

I now have a complete draft for my merlinchallenge fic! YES! *dances* Coming in at just barely under 16k, I'm beyond thrilled. This gives me time to fiddle with it a bit and hopefully find a beta before I have to turn it in on the fifth.

Finished a draft for girlsavesboyfic! Came in at 3.7k, which is awesome. I hadn't intended for it to go on as long as it did, just have Freya being utterly awesome in saving Merlin and Arthur, but then Arthur demanded a chance to actually talk to a magical being that isn't Merlin being secretive or the sisters being homicidal ( Read more... )

The requirements for the latter story are pretty loose and I've already surpassed the minimum word count requirement. I decided to go with Freya having a moment to be completely badass. Have been working on the novelization fic, and have gotten to a little over 13K so far. I'm still a day or two away within the fic from getting Gwen to spring Leon so they can go find Arthur and Co, and I've already nipped one of the major subplots I had going for Morgana's week-long reign in the bud. Sent het_bigbang fic off to beta. YES! I spent the past week editing it, and I'd even gotten the word count down about five hundred words or so... only for it to shoot back up again at the end when I enhanced what I'd initially written there.
